A tele neck pickup that can step up to the bridge pickup in output and tonal quality. I find most tele neck pickups dull, weak or both. In fact I never quite understood why Fender did not switch to a strat pickup for the neck position after putting the stratocaster in production but different strokes for different folks I guess.

That's why i always liked Twisted Tele neck pickup.

The tele pickups are not humcancelling so they are a non-starter for me. I wished they came up with a good humcancelling tele neck pickup.

What qualities are you looking for?

Super PAF is a nice idea if you want the Super D with a PAF look.
Cheers Stephan

Presented EQ graph is quite different than the SD. So what reminds me is Duncan Custom. It may be a louder Custom.

You’re compensating a bit based on the position with the 61 in the neck and the slightly fatter 54 Pro in the middle. That approach has some merit as opposed to going weak in the middle in order get ultra skinny 2 and 4 tones but sacrificing position 3 in the process.

I just got a Virtual Solo to put in the bridge with a 54 Pro in the middle and Heavy Blues 2 in the neck but don’t have a guitar ready yet. I plan on my usual tricks to maximize brightness for 2 & 4 and to defeat the dummy coil on the neck pickup when the tone is rolled up.

HS are much lower output and not fatter, just darker/duller.

Areas should be fine with the EC

I still love these in the bridge.  Come across much hotter than specs would indicate.  Modern sound but still in the PAF tonal family.  Very liquid lead sound without requiring a lot of gain.
