V30s, if you want something more traditional, or a newer Marshall cab, something like the JVM2x12, those are pretty bright. If you want something a little more modern, the DV Mark Neoclassic cabs are really high wattage, pretty bright, and sound really even across the spectrum which gives you a lot of tone shaping options with your amp.
V30s. I had them in a Hughes and Kettner cab back in the early 90s. Once they broke in, man those things were GREAT!

Is this pedal breaking any new ground?  Not really.  But it feels/plays like a very refined and completed idea that makes me smile and want to play more.

How does it compare with something like a Fulldrive II MOSFET? I have one and this pedal always piqued my interest.

I just added my DS-1 with the Wampler JCM and high gain mods to my board to replace the other heavily modded DS-1. I don't think the Rat or any other distortion will be on my list anytime soon. I do, however, really like the Rat and Rat based pedals. It's a tone that is unique and RUUUUUDDDEE!! I used a Proco Rat back in '88. Great dist. box. Post some sound clips of the DRV if you get a chance.

If you looked at the marketing from the competition, it would appear, not be an actuality, but would appear that other pickup manufacturers are just the boon of r&d and they have all of these new pickups that will do everything but pick you up (pun intended) from the airport. While Dimarzio announces a few new sets with a couple of guys that I had to Google (just like someone else mentioned).

In this competitive world you really DO have to work to keep your name out there. Otherwise the perception is that your product has become irrelevant no matter how opposite the case may be.

Still want one in the metallic blue, it's killer. Neck's very unique tho so try before you buy.
