Forgive me if this has already been addressed. (I don't have a seven string TZ, so I can't answer that question in the context of 7 string operation.)
This mod is super easy and reversable. You just remove the metal spacer from around the pole screws of the screw coil and slide the magnet over against the screw poles, leaving a tiny gap between the slug coil slug poles and the magnet.
Clears up much of the lower mid congestion and overly present low end that can be present.
To go further, lower the bass side of the pickup a bit further, and put the adjustment screws flush with the bobbin on the bass side, while raising the B&E screws to taste.
