Title: Why was this pickup discontinued?

We have the Virtual Vintage Blues. We have the Virtual Vintage Heavy Blues 2. But we used to have a Virtual Vintage Heavy Blues.

I never understood why Dimarzio discontinued that model.

To be honest, I have no idea why they discontinued the VVHB. My guess would be that they created a new pickup that could cover the same tonal range with some other improvements that made the VVHB obsolete.
