Title: Gauge of wire for pickup connections?

I need to get the proper sized wire strippers for the wire used for 4 conductor pickups. To be clear I'm referring to the wires from from the pickup that need to be stripped for the pickup's connections.

I prefer to have the proper tool and not half-ass it with melting the insulation off.

Never mind. I forgot how easily the insulation melts off the wires. :)

I use strippers that go to ga 26 for that wire.

24 or 26 will get you there. Your local hardware store will likely not have any wire strippers for such a small gauge. Pololu.com is a good, cheap source for a quality wire stripper.
