Hi everyone

I am replacing the bridge humbucker in my '96 Tom Anderson Drop-Top. I have a Super Dist, that I have wired as the TA p/u was wired - real easy, r > r, bl > bl, etc.
The guitar is plugged into my hi-gain Marshall. When I lightly run a screwdriver over the poles of the TA p/u, I hear a that good 'ol scratchy noise... the noise sounds the same on poles in both bobbins.
Not so with the SDist; one bobbin sounds like the TA, and the other has some, but not nearly as much.
Does anyone know if this is normal? Would someone mind checking?

My soldering is not exactly world-class, so it's possible there is something awry there.
Thanks in advance.
