The Pickup Place / Re: Q: Treble bleed mod for Bill Lawrence USA L500

It's honestly a lot of trial and error for me to find a value I like. I just increase the value of the capacitor until I find one I like really.

Yup Budd, I think so too.

Btw, I read your review of the Titan which made me GAS for the upcoming 7-string model.
Do you have any insight into when it might arrive?

I wish I knew when there would be a Titan 7. It would make for an awesome 7 string pickup (although I'm really hoping for a 7 string version of a the Transition set)

Try the PAF Master. You might actually like it as much as I do.

Looks like you hit quite the jackpot with all those!

The Transition would be a good candidate. The lower power stuff like the PAF Master or PAF 36th could also fit the bill.

Try the other coil?

pretty sure you could install them like normal pickups if you want.

I'd go with the Illuminator set or the Transition set. I personally like the Transition set a bit more than the Illuminator myself but I'm not looking for a super aggressive tone these days and it suits my needs well.

The Pickup Place / Re: I need a hotter Fast Track 1 for neck position
« on: August 26, 2015, 03:47:05 PM »
Try the Chopper. The Fast Track 2 will be a lot more like the Hot Rails you have right now. Otherwise the Satch Track might also be a good choice.

Depends on what kind of sound you want. The Satch Track, Cruiser bridge or Injector could work. So would a pro track actually.

I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Are there any other lines from EBMM that might also use those pickups?

They're the same pickups that are in the Axis models including the Japanese made Axis EX models.

The Pickup Place / Re: Brightness of 36th PAF vs Norton?
« on: July 22, 2015, 06:20:50 PM »
I'm not 100% sure if it's actually a compromise of the two but I can see it being a nice fit for what you're looking for. It's pretty bright with a bit of a mid spike. As much as I like the PAF 36th bridge, I do personally like the Norton better. I typically run 500k or 550k pots without a tone pot (or if the guitar has one, it's disconnected).
