Title: Pickup Eyelets vs Soldering in the coil

Why does DiMarzio solder single coil leads in the coil, instead of soldering to eyelets?  My FS1 is soldered in the coil and the coil is taped.  Does it matter how the coil wires attach?  Will the connections fall apart?

Because they use plastic bobbins. So the bobbin would melt.

Humbuckers have the wires attached to leads and taped in the coil. It works fine.
