Hey Everyone, now I’m playing my guitar the next day I’m not so sure it is wired quite right. When on the middle (blend) pickup the palm mute won’t ring on long before it is covered by noise and it’s also a bit of a thinner sound than the bridge or the neck , when on the bridge pickup when I’m palm muting it has a very loud underlying noise hum. It’s like it’s not Bucking the hum so to speak. One more thing I didn’t put the little washer Wich is connected to the ground and goes between one of the pickup adjustment screws and the metal plate the pickup is mounted too. I thought the humbucker would make that obsolete. Is that the cause ??? Cheers everyone and I hope someone can help. I won’t pull it back apart just yet.

Anyone else know exactly where each of the 5 wires go ? I want to be right and not wreck my strings by having to take it all apart again and swap things around.

Hi, this is my first time here. I was wondering if anyone could help me by giving some basic instructions on how to wire my new dimarzio super dist hotrails bridge pickup into my Mexican fender Tele. The pickup has 5 wires(red ,green ,white , black and in insulated silver) and the guitar has a black ground and a yellow hot. I just need to know where to solder what. I know some are soldered together and some go to the guitars two wires I just don’t know why goes where. Any help will get me back chugging hopefully and will be greatly appreciated. Cheers from Australia.
