Hey guys, this is my very first post here. I'm almost certain I'll get a Dimarzio SD T for my tele and was wondering what kind of neck humbucker I should match with it. My natural choice would be paf pro (which I have in another guitar), but was wondering if someone has done the same already.
Here are the things that I care about:
- The outputs MUST be relatively similar. Okay to have hotter bridge, but not like 4x louder
- full sized humbucker is top priority but flexible with mini humbucker
- preferably Dimarzio, but open to other options
So, what are my options? Thanks

The SD T is not as hot as the full size SD.
You cant really go wrong with paf pro or paf, both classic combos. Personally, I prefer a paf.
What are you hoping to achieve with this guitar, and are you wiring the SD T for a coil split or parallel switching?

I'm going to wire it classic HH configuration. I plan to play some heavier-ish stuff, but plan to spend 1/10 of the time doing some twangs.
The original plan was to play what I play with my Les Paul with better ergonomics. I kind of gave up on having a LP sound from a Tele after buying an ESP Eclipse with PAF pickups. Not better or worse than my les paul, but just too different.
Anyhow, here is what I am specifically looking for in my tele-ish guitar:
- comfortable ergonomics (faster neck joint, belly cut and forearm cut
- 24.75" scale
- some power to play hard rock or even some metal
- flexibility on tone to play clean sounds
Maybe a gibson SG checks all of these boxes, but the guitar doesn't appeal to my eyes at all.

My first recommendation would be the Bluesbucker.
