The Pickup Place / Re: Tone Zone S, Super Distortion S or Fast Track 2?
« on: December 11, 2015, 12:26:16 AM »
Your right the TONE ZONE is extremely versatile, blues rock, indie rock, grunge, stoner, shred, fusion(roll off volume or tone.....or both),hey Michael Romeo uses it in the NECK!!! with an x2n in the bridge. The TZ has a very low mid thump(at least to me) which IMO gives notes a certain "thrust" yet it's warm, far from sterile & mean sounding. Tone Zones remind me of "undiscovered guitar hero" tone:aggressive, in yo face, not polite & ready to fight. My favorite pu

Locking nuts do suck away lots of tone, anyone should be able to hear that.Notes just seem to RING TRUE without any locking mechanism at the nut, more VIBEration being transfered. That being said a whammy addict like myself absolutely love SPERZEL LOCKING TUNERS,FENDER BULLITS & GRAPHITE POWDER.Last time i played LIVE I put my guitar on the floor, stepped on the bar, yanked it up by the bar,all the circus stunts & never went out of tune.Seriously

HENDRIX! As an african american male from N.Y.C I went to F.K.lane high school in queens(at that time very ethnicaly diversed).Italians,Irish,Black, puerto rican,Dominican,Oriental. My parents always taught us that people r all one & to respect other peoples culture.I always loved rock music as well as celtic, spanish, indian(eastern) as well as the r&b & rap that was prevelant in new york in the 70's & 80's.Not only did I like big jims playing he taught me an important lesson...Freedom!From there it went to metallica(before black album),slayer, megadeth, living colour, bad brains, muddy waters& mountain. When i seen crossroads oh my god!,I love satch vai, gilbert, timmons I love every guitar player.Currently I have a fascination with LESLIE WEST!,his tone is MASSIVE,when he plays it sounds like an explosion.Rock & roll FOREVER
