My understanding is that all you have to do is contact them and if it's possible, they'll build it.

Try 920 D Custom (Siegler).

I've never owned "THE" guitar and I've owned cheap to ridiculously expensive. I often try telling myself though. They all lacked something.

Modding is a "syndrome" to me.

FS1 would be fatter in the middle and have more output.  Hence, you may be able to lower the pickup more for picking room.
Thank you.

How much do you actually use the middle pickup?

The Tone Zone, True Velvet and Air Norton is a tried and true combo that you cant go wrong with. It is however on the darker and fatter side tonally. You may be better off with a Norton, True Velvet and Air Norton if you want something with a bit more versatility.
I like using all the positions. Forces me to think outside of the box.

I'm thinking darker and fatter is what I looking for. Thanks.

The Pickup Place / Pickup Swap

I recently purchased an Ibanez Jem Jr used but absolutely mint for $350 with a hardshell case. The guitar was awesome out of the gate. I dropped an Original Floyd Rose and Schallers in it and it absolutely shreds except... The stock Quantum pickups, well the bridge anyway is too shrill.

I'm contemplating an Air Norton, True Velvet, Tone Zone combo. I love everything from southern rock to metal to worship. Will these cover the spectrum?

I really liked the Crunch Lab and Liquifire in my JP but what would work well in the middle?

All suggests welcome. Thanks in advance.

Guitar Lounge / New (to me) Jem Jr

So I've been a fan of Steve Vai since I first saw him with David Lee Roth in '86 (I think). Not a fan boy, as some of his stuff is too out there for me, but I truly love his innovation. That said the Jem was too far out there too.

Thirty some years later I pick up a Jem (Jem Jr) for the first time and it went home with me. I bought this guitar used but mint with a hardshell case for $350! Killer, killer guitar for the pennies.

The guitar is fine as is, but I thought why not?  I just ordered a gold OFR and gold Sperzel tuners for it and I'm just at what the guitar and case would have cost me new. The pickups are fine but... Why not?

I'm looking at tons of DiMarzio pickups (of course) and though they may not exist, I'm thinking gold Dark Matter 2s. I love the covers.

I attached the before pic. Anyway, I'm pretty stoked.
