Hi folks - I think I may have posted this somewhere else a while ago, but not sure it was here.

I bought the pickup pictured above I believe in late 1978 or early 1979 at Guitar Trader in Red Bank, NJ.  The guy at Guitar Trader recommend this pickup along with a Dimarzio Super Distortion as a good pair for the teak Les Paul Special I was attempting to build as a 14 year old !

I did buy TWO Dimarzios that evening - BUT - I will admit that in the past 4 decades it is possible that I swapped the Dimarzio PAF for some other cream double-coil and forgot or didnt even realize.  So maybe this is a Bill Lawrence or something totally different ?

It is wired with a coil tap - and each coil is around 6.3 K Ohms for a combined 12.6 K Ohms - which is VERY high for a PAF reissue !!

The plastic baseplate should give it away to someone out there - there is a small metal baseplate within the plastic base.

Thanks !
