Hi guys, I appreciate everyone's response in helping me resolve this issue. I switched the black and white wires and that seems to resolve the issue. Position 2 is stronger than before, but still a bit low in volume which I'm assuming is normal. Thanks

Based on a magnetic test with a compass, it looks like my neck is north, and mid and bridge are south. I'm currently using Dimarzio's (bridge) black wire as hot and white wire (along with bare wire) as ground. I have the green and red wires wired together and connected to the selector switch based on the diagram I'm attaching. Im also attaching a pic which shows how each wire is color coded for DiMarzio. That might be helpful to you.

Also, just to clear something up. I meant to say 2nd position, not 4th position. The 2nd position (bridge + middle) is bright/thin.

Thanks, Stephan. Yes, 4th position is hum canceling but low in volume and bright/thin. I cant really swap the bridge and neck because my neck pickup is an SSL-5 and my middle pickup is a RWRP SSL-1. I do have another non-RWRP SSL-1 pickup. Not sure if i can somehow swap that with the current RWRP SSL-1 middle pickup to solve the issue. I'd imagine I would then have polarity issues between the middle and neck pickups?

So that wiring diagram definitely worked. The only issue I'm now having is the 4th position (middle/bridge) is much lower in volume than all other positions. I don’t remember that being the case with my 3 single coil pickups. Any advice?

The problem is there's limited instructions. For example there are 4 different diagrams for my setup, which is confusing.

I appreciate the response. The diagram you referred me to solved my problem. It's amazing that DiMarzio couldn't point me in the right way, considering my issue was so simple. So now that I have it wired based on that diagram, I assume my super distortion s pickup is being used as a humbucker when in the bridge (i.e. 5th) position?

I like to consider myself somewhat technoligocally savvy, but I've been unable to make this installation. I have an american strat with 3 single coil pickups. The middle pickup is RWRP. Trying to install the super distortion s in the bridge while keeping the hum canceling at positions 2 and 4. Can someone direct me to the correct diagram with the wire color codes? Thanks in advance
