I have heard so much about these, and I just wanted something a little different. I'm upgrading a Super Strat, so I thought "Why not?"
Pics when they are installed - custom color!

I have that set in a PRS SE Singlecut. Great combo.
-
How is it that you feel they are Great?
I'm just throwing caution to the wind....
- feeling DiMarzio's for this guitar
- CL/LF is very popular
- Want to try something hip and new vs a SuperD/TZ etc...
- Kind of a shred / metal guitar.
What do YOU play and dig about them???
-
I was gassing for them for a while but since they weren't available then I did not get them. Now the GAS is over (for the moment :)) but I am still interested how you like them.
Cheers Stephan

In the PRS Singlecut, the Norton Bridge gives me great Les Paul inspired tones with a little extra push without going over the top like a Super Distortion. It is not muddy. It is not too flabby on the low end or too bright on the top end. It is perfectly balanced in the Singlecut, and get pinch harmonics super easy. the Liquifire neck meshes with it well while giving you a very different neck and bridge tone. It gets that bubbly Les Paul neck sound but also holds together very well when you throw a lot of gain at it. I usually don't care for the in-between position, but I like it with this combo.

And they are in the mail! Be here soon...
-
Update: Guitar is in the shop in line. I'm in no hurry, so don't know when...but hopefully soon.

I actually really like the CL/LF set, especially on a Marshall or something that's mid-heavy. I swapped out the TZ/AN set in one of my Ibanez J Customs before and it really helped bring it to life. It was almost like the stock TZ/AN set had pillows covering my amp.

OK - sad delay news. They sat in a Sam Ash awaiting install, and they lost/never rehired a tech, so after a long long wait I took them to another guy. Soon!!!!!!!!
-
That's a bummer. Hope you get your axe soon.
Cheers Stephan

They are here! There are here! They are finally here!
And my early review: I like'm!
Liquifire is a nice full sounding neck pickup, and pretty hot. Similar to a Duncan A2P but a little tighter bass, and hotter.
The Crunch lab is very hot and also - get this - crunchy! That said - the less gain, the more crunchy it gets. On uber gain amp I didn't notice it as much. It's a lot clearer than a Super D or TZ. Not as fizzy/thick, but still full sounding. Like it too. It's in Petrucci config with the bar away from the bridge. I might Swap when I change strings just to see.

That's one hot axe guitar!
I really should get a CL/LF set of my own some time. Every time I install a set for a client, I'm always impressed by how great it sounds. You're right about it getting crunchier with less gain.
Would love to know what you think of it after your rotate the pickup around!

That's one hot axe guitar!

And many thanks for your review of the CL/LF set, it is really appreciated.

Sorry for what I see as a ridiculously large photo. Let me see if I can fix that.
When you play in a Hair Metal Tribute band, you can play some really "Hot" (or stupid) guitars that most people would love to have but won't get! LOL
