If I wanted to do something like it, my starting point would be:
Norton Bridge, Fast Track 1 middle, PAF Pro neck.
It seems like a really okey starting point.

** Side note: Take this just as an idea, an option to explore, not to buy pickup instantly. ;)

This would be really really good pickup for me (bridge one).
Right in between 36th PAF and Air Classic.
Would be really really good for me.
Shame it's only made in G-space, and no F-space. -.-

Yeah.
I really really like B/M/T - 6 / 6 / 5
And output around 230-235 MV
So Air Classic has that "mid hole" which I hate ....
Like , it has 5.5 - 4 - 5.5 ... I hate that.
And 36th is too HOT and tiny bit fatter.
So something with 6-6-5 BMT and output around 230-235 would be sick.

I really have problems with midds in pickups like that.

Everyone is forcing pickups like 36th PAF bridge, and Bare Knuckle Black Dog.
That honky FAT HOT PAFs.

And midd-less PAFs like Air Classic, Duncan 59, Gibson 57 Classic.

But nothing in between this two cathegories.

Something in between this two would be awesome. :)
But zero people make that stuff.

Hm ... Maybe 36th PAF Neck in bridge? Would that be cool? :D

Music Man Luke 3 HSS has Injector based singles with Transition bridge, ... Cool option for Steve Lukather.
I've read somewhere on thegearpage, that Luke 3 singles are based on Injectors.

Also, something came to my mind. :D
Do you think DiMarzio will release Lukes Injectors or they will stay exclusively for Music Man Luke 3 HSS?
And do you think that they are answer to Seymour Duncans in Ibanez TQM1 guitar?

I did have PAF Pro on bridge, too bright for me. Not sure if Mo Joe would be better.
On the other hand, AT-1 was really way too dark. -.-

But to give you non off topic anymore.
3x Injector neck is also good way to go. :D

I don't know from who is this recording, but I had this for a while on PC from someone.
3x Injector neck Strat.

I would love a pickup which is a baby from PAF Pro and AT-1. :D
If there was a pickup which has AT-1 rock and roll character, with tiny bit of PAF Pro brightness, I would buy it instantly no brainer. :D

I would be super cool with duo of Injector Necks, but not sure of AT-1 bridge. :/
But I have a thing for Injector neck. :D
But AT-1, not for me personaly. :/

But still, I've seen a lot of people who were cool with that combo, and loved AT-1 on bridge.
Just not for me personally.

My good pal had Norton bridge, Fast Track 1 neck , HS strat. HS, not HSS.
Man, that guitar was just sick.
For my taste, I would add something in middle on it.
But for his, it was amazing guitar. :D

And yeah, I've seen lot of people get Injector neck with AT-1s nowadays.
But for me, AT-1 is just TOO dark. :/ Good pickup, but DARK.

I'm more drown to:

Norton bridge.
Fast Track 1 neck.
Some straty mid, like Virtual Vintage 54 Pro.

Norton is the most versatile bridge pickup ever.
FT1 likes to scream sometimes. :D
and Virtual Vintage for Straty in between. :D

The Pickup Place / Re: Bridge pickup to go with Paf Pro in neck?
« on: November 10, 2019, 07:12:29 PM »
Wire a PAF Pro to bridge and see how you would like it there. ;)
I would go with double PAF Pro. ;)
Or something in like Satriani range ... Like Mo Joe ....
I would go with something bright and not overpowered.
But just for a test, try PAF Pro on bridge. ;) If you like it, make it double.
And if you won't like it, then Fred and Mo Joe won't be any better. ;)

If your Majesty is Basswood or Mahogany - PAF Pro would be okey.
But on Alder ... not for me. For Alder something darker.

But wire a PAF Pro on bridge and see how you like it.
Steve Vais first guitars were dual PAF Pro on Basswood. Brad Delson also has dual PAF Pro on Mahogany Ibanez .. it's not waste of time this tiny test. Especially if it's non-Alder guitar. ;)

But on Alder would be too bright, but on Basswood and Mahogany  it would be super okey. ;)

That pickup is like insanely versatily. Can do neck, can do bridge, can do clean, can do dirty, can do pretty much everything. It's something like Norton, insanely versatile.

If you wire it on bridge, and like it - you have bridge pickup then.
And if you end up not liking it, you can describe things which you don't like so we search further.
And best part - it's win win situation.
You won't buy pickup on blind, you won't spend money, and we will have good feedback from that test.
It only costs time and good will. ;)
Just for a test, I would try it. ;)

Btw if it's Alder guitar, then no. But if it's Mahogany or Basswood, it's worth it. ;)

Guitar Lounge / Re: "The Nita Strauss Syndrome"

I'm drown to idea of having one guitar only, and one amp only. I don't like collect gear. I really love specific things about amps, and specific things about guitars, but no one is producing it. -.- So I'm kinda stuck with custom made stuff. -.-

Without any problem I could have 1 guitar like Andy Timmons , and 1 amp like Slash or Satriani.
But just have 0 luck with finding anything similar on market. -.-

The only thing which I like to change from time to time are pickups. I love 2 models of neck pickup,  and 1 model of bridge, but kinda 3 manufactures are making something very similar to it. XD But in terms of guitar, I always like same neck, same body wood .. Amps also; I love same amp anytime ... pedals also, I use only 1 overdrive pedal. I only like 2 or 3 pickups. XD And maybe two speaker types, but I could get rid of 1 without a problem. I'm minimalist in terms of gear.

For me, I get why people love bunch of stuff. But I have luck that only 1 specific thing does turn me on. XD Slash only likes Les Pauls. I'm kinda that in terms of gear.

And yeah, finish colour. I like two guitar colours. XD I'm minimalist in that also. XD Not even like body colour. Just two pickguard colours on same guitar. XD I'm like pretty small in that also. xD

Guitar Lounge / "The Nita Strauss Syndrome"
« on: November 09, 2019, 07:47:30 AM »
I came up with new guitar disease. We will call it "The Nita Strauss Syndrome".

In her Ibanez / DiMarzio interview, she said stuff like she can't find perfect guitar, cause it's always something missing on it.

Like: " This Les Paul would be perfect if it had this ....... ".

She simply made her own signature guitar.

Anyone has same issue as her? I sure have. :/ I can't seem to find my perfect guitar, since I love some unique stuff which I ever saw on 1 or 2 models.

Anyone has same issue?

So I pretty much love neck from one guitar, body from second guitar, pickups from third guitar.
And have all this three components in one guitar is extremly rare. -.-
Anyone with same issue? That loves something that is not producing like anywhere? :D

The mini bar (off topic & misc) / How to sell songs?
« on: October 21, 2019, 04:11:26 PM »
I wanna try to get motivation back for song writting. Since I write from time to time. It's more like a hobby, then side job.
I wanna know, that would be the best deal for me to sell songs to like band?
I don't wanna sell song like for 20$ on fiverr.
I wanna like official relationship with one band only. And write for them exclusevely.
Is that even possible? How to find right band? Any idea where to start?
Thanks.

Everything you wanted to know about .... / Re: DP240 Vintage Mini Humbucker

Just a bump question; has anyone tried DP241, bridge version of Vintage Minibucker? Is it closer to 36th PAF or Air Classic? Thanks.

The Pickup Place / Re: Pickups for my guitar ...
« on: July 29, 2019, 07:07:18 AM »
I had idea for Pro Track in neck, and I know it's a PAF Pro in rail format. But for some reason, I'm drown more to Satch Track in neck. Not sure why. I heard that it's super cool pickup. I know that PAF Pro is super okey for me, but I have more hype for Satch Track.

And now when I think .... Satchur8 and 2x Satch Track with split, is not bad idea at all. ^^ Or Norton and 2x Pro Track .... or stuff like that. Or Breed Neck with 2x Chopper ....

But for some reason .... I dig 2x Satch Track idea, with any of this 3 from above.

But Pro Track in neck is pretty pretty cool idea also. ;)

And yeah, I had in mind that. Split for all 3 pickups, and add bridge + neck, and all 3. ;)
And I really like Satch Track neck. And I would prefer to have Fast Track in middle, but Satch Track would work also. ;)
And I prefer one of 3 mentioned above for bridge.

PS.

If I had Satchur8 bridge, and 2x Satch Track. I would be more then okey with it. ;)

And I pick in between neck and middle, so I'm okey with HSS.

I would rather have more my-sound-suited-bridge-pickup, then more-space-free-pickup. ;)
