It's one of the Blaze models. Take a reading with your multimeter.
DIMARZIO MODELS CURRENTLY OR PREVIOUSLY OWNED: 68 TOTAL

Thanks for your reply.

The resistance of this pickup is around 14.7.

I contacted Dimarzio but they don't have this pickup on their database as it's before that time, so they didn't know what it was.

I thought it might be a Blaze and they guessed it was a Blaze as well but weren't certain.

Do you know which Blaze this is? Blaze II etc.

Dimarzio said it was a Bridge model

The Blaze Custom is right at about 16k. The original Blaze is around 20k.

Have you looked up specs on the Blaze II?  That could be it.

Thanks for your reply.

Dimarzio said the resistance was consistent with the Blaze II and most likely a bridge Blaze II but weren't certain.

They said the Blaze II was more like a Distortion and the new Blaze DP702 is like a Steve's special.

As they weren't certain, I wanted to check to see if anyone has come across this pickup and give some information about the differences between the Blaze II and the Blaze DP702 if it is the II.

I'm thinking of installing it in my Guitar so wanted to check what it is before wiring it in.

The DP702 has been around since 1990. It was the bridge model in the Ibby Universe.  Personally, I found it scooped and a bit too compressed. I compared it a little to the Blaze Custom here:  https://www.facebook.com/darthphineas/posts/733424513420200

Can't speak for the Blaze II, but I bet you can google plenty of reviews on it.

If you have that pickup, it might be worth it to install and give it a go.

There's not a lot of info online about the Blaze II.

It's been hard to find any info on this pickup. It seems to be fairly rare and old

You seem to have found sevenstring.org.  Have you also checked jemsite.com?

Or...if they said it's like a Super D, there you go.
