Post by: zozoe on October 28, 2019, 12:43:36 AM
In a nutshell what are the sonic differences between these 3, & what positions are they each best suited for?
Thanks, kenny

In terms of brightness (brightest to least bright) and output (least output to most) the sequence is 67, 58, 61.

I prefer the 67 for the neck and the 58 for the middle position. The 61 would make a good match to them if you are going for a traditional low output and bright tone in the bridge. I recommend 250k volume and tone pots for all of them.

Cheers Stephan

^^^ This

Exactly as posted above, I would run them:
61 bridge
58 middle
67 neck

You could run a Virtual Solo at the bridge if the 61 wasn't hot enough for you

Yep - one of my strats is set up like this (from neck to bridge): 67, 58, Virtual Solo. Recommended.
