Sup new guy here.Just recently became the owner of my first after market pick-ups, and yes they are dimarzio!!!

I got me a Tone Zone, True Velvet, and a liquifire for my Rg5ex1.All im waiting on for my step dad to take it to a tech he knows to install them then the never ending shred fest begins! Madness

Welcome! Hope you enjoy your new DiMarzios!

Two words of advice though:

1. You might want to consider buying yourself a soldering iron and some solder, it's very easy to do it yourself. And once you start, you never stop Madness Then again, that's coming from an electrical engineer, but soldering guitars (along with computer hardware) is what got me into electrical engineering.

2. The Tone Zone is a PHENOMENAL pickup, but you absolutely MUST tinker with height adjustments (the two main screws that hold it to the pickup ring or body). Toy with the heights for a decent amount of time. When you find the right height, you'll know.

1.yah i want to learn ohow to solder,but we need a soldering iron first.

2.yes ive read that on here as i have been lurkin until my account got activated.i can't wait to hear the crushing power that is the tone zone.I have heard its very simular to the IbzUsaF2 pick up in my S540 which i LOVE.

Soldering irons are cheap. Total cost of materials for me, from Radioshack, was $25.

The tone zone absolutuly CRUSHES.like I said before it sounds like a MUSICAL FIGHT between the A TRAIN EXPRESS(n.y.c)and an ANGRY m1 ABRHAMS TANK!!.I've got a question though,I've been listening to lots of MASTODON ,which pick up can get me that absolutuly CRUSHING THICK MID TONE?Would it be the SUPER DIST or thE SUPER 3 please help
