The Pickup Place / Fast Track II

Is freaking ROCKING in the el - cheapo Kramer KS-400

The hum bucking mode is very Iron Maiden tone like, and just thick.  I think the Plywood construction adds to the highs.

Split it gives me great single coil tones to go with middle/neck and a nice output balance.

And you may find this equally surprising; Sometimes a bridge pup in the neck does the trick.

btw - a Jazz with an A2 magnet is an Alnico Pro II pickup (aka - Those pickups Slash uses…)

Yes it will work just fine.

Once upon a time there was no such thing as a "neck" pup.  The world rocked on just fine.

Well, it will be interesting no doubt.  I might think about going Series/Parallel/split on the X2N…just in case.  Super flexible that way.

Or just plain swap and put a SuperD in the neck and whatever a X2N Tele is in the bridge.

How are you going to USE the neck?  Solos only?  Might be awesome.

SWEET Axe!!!!!!!

And, while I obviously love the SuperD….I wouldn't go with HBFH in the neck.  But - I can see how that would be totally cool!  And fancy splitting options etc?

X2N is going in a Hello Kitty strat.

What do we have in the 80's zone…

Sounds like a bad jack to me.

Resolder the jack - the bridge hot ring…

Actually - while I generally prefer Duncans, I do have a number of DMZ, and have been through quite a few in my time.

Currently waiting on a FAst Track 2 installation, obviously a small mountain of SuperD's, I miss my X2N and Choppers, PAF Pro was awesome, Got a Tone ZOne I really liked through solid states laying around somewhere….

Did you lower the bass end of the pickup in the ring.  I know….sound too simple, but you'd be surprised.

Or, if by "compliment" you mean similar, go with a standard PAF

Dude has a crapton (= to 2 metric butt-loads) of pickups.  Easy to imagine he moved a box and there they were.

Think about an Ibanez with a Pickguard.

You can then get a custom SSS guard for pretty cheap.
