I picked up a yamaha pacifica with H/S/S config.  I threw in my old DMZ Super 2 ( the old school one with the molded case ) and now want to put a couple of stacked s/c in the neck/mid spots.....any suggestions?

Its gonna be a back up to my fender strat that has paf pro/blue velvet/paf pro.
I have few other guitars tailored for their position but this one will be used for classic rock.

I actually grabbed two pacifica's that Im working on --- the other will have SD Lil '59 in the N/M/B positions.

Just lookin at what will work with the Super 2

As everyone may know about my kids ( my kids pt 2 ) in this forum or the the pickup place local -- whittie, my 3 single coil guitar has died the other day.

She was a 2 piece ( like a sandwich ) body with a big head 21 fret maple board neck and 3 SSL-3 SD p'ups.....

Well, for some reason, the body separated at the bridge......so I wish to introduce----- CANDIE --- my 20th ANN Squier strat body w/ the big head 21 fret neck and DiMarzio Super 3 and 1 vol and it plays like butter......

She's on the left --- the others ( honey, vickie, dimmie ) you guys should know about

What style do you play with the strat? Ive been pondering middle singles for a long time to sit between Air Zone and Paf Pro... even considered half airing, or airing the Paf Pro to get a little less gain to pair more evenly with the AZ. I havent considered any traditional single coils, but have been eye balling the Virtual Vintage line, or an HS-2, which im familiar with.

The way I have my stuff setup is that I use:

HONEY for the bluesy Gary Moore or rock ballad type stuff
VICKIE for the harder rock ala steel panther LOL
DIMMIE for the classic rock to include skynard and Clapton
WHITTIE for tinkering at home

Everything runs thru my Boss GT 8 and each guitar has its own bank setup for their sound.
Honey has bank 1-1 thru 1-4
Vickie has bank 2-1 thru 2-4
etc......so nothing gets mixed up.

One thing that I did find out about Dimmie when I bought her, is that she is setup and routed for a roland GK-3 pickup.  So, Im debating on selling HONEY and my pedal board with the GT 8 and the fixin's to acquire a GR-55 with GK-3 p'up for DIMMIE ;D

Mmm yes... The pickups are the eyes to the guitar!!! I like the Zebra Paf Pro in the neck, from a distance it gives you the look that its HSS.... but really its a damn fine HSH! Mine will be there soon, I going with the Air Zone Zebra in the bridge, Paf Pro Zebra neck... Undecided on the middle PU at the moment.

Well thank you for the compliment.  As far as the mid p'up, this is my first time using the blue velvet and it works great, actually, beyond great with the PP's.  Very airy and crisp.  You can actually hear it breathe  8) 8)
