Dream Catcher and Rain Maker are John Pettruci signatures? :D Since they are both in 6 and 7 string , they should be JPs? At least they are super high gain since they are in 7 string.

And this one:

Vintage P90 w/ full size hum cover
DP286
149.99

Is this like Bluesbucker? P90 in humbucker format like Bluesbucker or?

Actually, they are like Virtual P90 upgrade. xD So .... Sry, my bad.

Duncan 59 - no mids at all. :( Love the sound, but it kinda sucks on wood like ash or alder, it's just empty. On mahogany it's "ok", but on ash/alder - don't even try.

This kinda reminds me on Virtual PAF. To me 36th is middier and hotter, and air classic is mid scopped and weaker in terms of output. Virtual PAF for me is in between this two.

When I first saw 59 PAF EQ - I was like: I need to have this (couse of Virtual PAF).
But when I heard for 1 wire thing - I gave up.

Overall, I would love to try one - just to see comparation to virtual PAF.

Hi, Thanks for your interest. The Satchtur8 is finished (Joe's been touring with it) and I'll probably release it by the end of Aug. I'm still refining the PAF 59 but it is out on the road this summer with several artists.
Hope that helps,
Larry DiMarzio

Bump!

Wasn't here for some time. I could use little help. Someone on other forum said that DiMarzio Virtual Vintage could sound really close to P90. I was wondering: does VV 54 comes close with 250k pots? I kinda look for something like noiseless P90.. Duncan Quatter Pound was close, but hum killed it.

Tnx for any info.

The Pickup Place / Is DiMarzio Cruiser right choice for me?
« on: October 09, 2016, 11:01:44 AM »
Hi guys, it's Paul again.

Wanted to say... long story short. About week ago I was on guitar meeting where I've met one really cool builder. He mainly makes Les Paul and Strat guitars for a very cheap price. He offered me to make guitar body + neck for 400€, + the price of the electronic/pickups/bridge/tuners. I really like idea of having custom guitar so.. I'm into it now. I also sold my Blade Stratocaster to my best friend for a really cool price... now I just need to get rid of Fender American Deluxe. :D Anyway..

I'm also writing this as a PRS fan.. I always like the sound of PRS Swamp Ash Special Narrowfield. Of couse I really can't afford 3000€ guitar.. so I'm stuck with alternatives. So.. is the DiMarzio Crusier good choice for me?

Demos of PRS are:

And another PRS model demo, but this is on Korina body.. same pickups are in.

Colleague from another forum has 1990 Jem FP, dual PAF Pro... and FP2 (from 92 I think), blue one is also dual PAF Pro.

The Pickup Place / Humbucker similar to Injector Bridge.
« on: July 27, 2016, 11:25:46 AM »
Hi guys, I bought Blade Texas HSS guitar and I'm looking for bridge pickup. I was about to put Norton in it, but I got tested SSS with Injector Bridge and I was blown away.

So.. just curiosity.. is there any bridge humbucker similar to Injector Bridge? I don't need 100% same sound..

Tnx, Paul.

The Pickup Place / Dominion Neck in bridge?
« on: July 23, 2016, 09:28:35 AM »
Hi guys. I wasn't here for some time. I wanted to ask: did anyone tried Dominion Neck in the bridge position?

I've heard that lot of people call it "fatter PAF Pro" and I've always been PAF Pro fan, but just not in alder.

Another thing is: I've got very good deal on Blade Texas guitar, and I kinda think about buying it. And since I have Fender Deluxe Strat, I wanted to make something a little bit different then pickups in Fender Strat.

So... Anyone tried Dominion Neck in bridge? I like idea of fat PAF Pro. :)

The Pickup Place / Re: Evolution in a Les Paul?

I've seen one review on youtube of PRS Les Paul guitar and he said that Liquifire would be too warm in Les Paul so he put PAF Pro on neck with Crunch Lab on Bridge. Just sayin'.

I need bridge pickup and I'm talking about regular Norton, not Air Norton.

Hi guys, I'm looking for a new pickup for my guitar. I'm looking for a pickup which is versatile as Tone Zone, but with lower output and little bit more treble. Tnx for answers. :)

Wasn't here for some time. Pickups are PRS 59/09's. This is not my guitar. I saw it 4 years ago in sale, and I saved photo. This is only photo of this guitar.. Some lucky guy got guitar. ;)
