Unless I’m mistaken they used EMG pickups.

No problem.  That site has lots of tab. Not all of it is accurate but trust your ear and you’ll be able to move through most pieces of music.
I usually just use the tab to show me the basics.

The Pickup Place / Official Press Release: Pandemonium

Dimarzio told me they come as is, and no modifications are planned.
That’s a bummer.
I’m not a buyer in that case.

I might be interested if I could get this without that cover. It just doesn’t do it for me looks-wise.
I emailed Dimarzio about this yesterday.

You shouldn’t have to roll off the treble with the tone knob. Many of us want to get our tone with the controls full on and tweak when necessary from there.
Plus many guitars only have a volume knob.

Ok, so how long are we going to keep letting these spammers clog up the forum.  I’ve been reporting them for days now and they just keep popping up.

The mini bar (off topic & misc) / your first guitar idol?
« on: April 12, 2018, 04:44:03 PM »
I was listening to music pretty much around 5 years old, that would be 1980, music had been playing everywhere around the house.

When I started, I was a big fan of Mick Mars and Dave Mustaine. Their sense of rhythm still lingers on to this day.

But it wasn't until Kurt Cobain came into the scene. I almost gave up playing guitar. He somewhat showed me to just love playing music. And that still goes on to this day.
Mick Mars is a SOLID player. Maybe not as flashy as his 80’s shredder contemporaries but a hell of a player nonetheless.
He was definitely one of my primary heroes.

The Pickup Place / HELP KEEP THIS PLACE RUNNING!
« on: April 08, 2018, 08:44:40 PM »
I guess that's unfortunate for me then. I don't do Facebook so looks like this place would be down a member if that's the format that gets used.

Plus, the Duncan company provides support for their forum. There's even a link to it on their website. Every now and then actual employees join the discussion too.
I'm not sure why Dimarzio wouldn't want to support a forum dedicated to their products but I guess that's why I don't run a business.

But I digress....I'm clearly fighting a losing battle.

Hey man!  I’ve been a member here for a little while now but tbh I don’t visit all that often....
What I’d like to know is, what can we do to get this to be a more active forum? I love Dimarzio pickups but yet I find myself on the Duncan forum FAR more often than I’m here. The Duncan forum is very active with lots of various discussions.
I’d love for this place to resemble that forum. What are they doing right and this forum doing wrong?
We need to find a way to liven this place up...
I’d likely be more apt to donate to this forum IF it were a place that I came to regularly. I’m sure others feel the same.

The MSRP was showing at $139.
Still expensive but it’s not $199.
