Title: Bridge Pickup for Eastwood JR Elite
Post by: stecova on June 14, 2018, 08:24:01 AM
Hello,
I am looking for bridge pickup replacement for my Eastwood JR Elite (Johnny Ramone copy guitar)
I want more output so a Single Coil Sized Humbucker must be a good choice
Which model do you advice to me to keep this great Ramones tone (the guitar will be plugged in a JCM800)

Thank You
Stefan

How much output are you looking for? My first thought here would be a Super Distortion S

Right now I have a Dimarzio FS1, like Johnny Ramone, but I would like a more powerful pickup
Thanks

Hmmm... If you're moving from a FS-1, now that I think about it, my previous recommendation for a Super Distortion S could work but it would be a major jump up in terms of output and quite a bit of a tonal shift from the FS-1.

Would make more sense going with the Fast Track 1 or maybe even the Chopper if you want even more output while staying closer in tone to what you have right now.

Thanks a lot BuddyRoice :)
The pickups you told me are between a single coil and a humbucker tone if I well understand
And if i want something more compressed, more metal tone, what xould you suggest to me ?
Thanks dude !

I second the chopper.

More compressed and more metal? Try the Injector.

Here's Paul Gilbert using them. Probably the only thing I can find that's close to metal. If you look up Paul Gilbert Injector, there's a few more videos of using it in a cleaner setting

The Chopper is definitely more compressed than the Injector.
