Hello,
I have a Jackson KV2 King V and would like to replace the Seymour Duncan JB/Jazz set with a pair of DiMarzios. Why? Just to try something different.
The guitar has a maple neck, alder wings, ebony fretboard, and OFR. I changed the wiring to a single volume and no tone control. My amp rig is a Kemper power head and Marshall 1960B cab.
I like metal from the past: Armored Saint, Metal Church, Y&T, Megadeth, Grim Reaper, Accept, Diamond Head, Mercyful Fate, Slayer, Loudness, Meliah Rage, Stryper, Metallica, King Diamond, Iron Maiden...sorry the list could go on 8)
I've never used DiMarzios before, so which models would be a good start?
Thanks!

Super Distortions.

2x Super Distortions, Super D-B and Super 2-N, Super D-B and PAF Pro-N, or 2x PAF Pro. Honorable mentions to 2x Super 2, and any of the PAF Pro combos but with a FRED instead of the 'Pro.

Thanks for the replies!
I've ordered a Super Distortion for the bridge and a PAF Pro for the neck. Can't wait to install them.

That should sound sweet.

You can’t go wrong with that combo.
