The Pickup Place / Fernandes TEJ 45 Help
« on: February 09, 2016, 06:09:15 AM »
I'm trying to upgrade the pickups on this guitar.

The stock pickups aren't that bad and have quite a lot of nice mids and distort very well under high gain. However, I'm looking for pickups with more volume and output. Pickups that will sound well with high gain (should I need it) but more importantly sound fuller for cleans,blues/rock, and hard rock. The guitar had a basswood body and rosewood fingerboard. All suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance.

Gear Closet / Vox Lil Night Train/G12 Greenback Cab Combo

I recently bought a G12 Greenback cabinet and played my Vxlnt through it just to see what kinda tones i can get. I used a tele with a chopper t in the bridge and twang king in the neck, and boy was i impressed. So impressed that i was wondering if somebody else has used this combo for smaller venues mic'ed up or straight up. I can see the cleans being an issue but what about the crunch, will it deliver?

Hi everyone,

This is my first post here. I recently installed a twang king and a chopper t ala kotzen in my tele and although the chopper t sounds awesome, it isnt very loud despite me adjusting the pu height. Is is normal? This is the current height. Thanks in advance for your feedback
