The Pickup Place / Re: Is the Megadrive my Unicorn?

I might be your unicorn, but thankfully it's a lot easier to find than some other pickups I've been hunting around for.

Sounds like an old PAF.

Dimarzio's vintage lineup was pretty simple. Definitely not an old Super Distortion or X2N. Don't know if DiMarzio actually made anything else that looked like a PAF back then.

Another question... I've read something about "half air mod" with Dimarzio pickups. Is that something i could do to the Air Norton?

Pretty sure you could. If I remember correctly, the half air mod is just removing the air spacer on one side so you should be able to do it to any "Air" pickup.

I don't come here often but I'd hate to see this place go. It's not much but you got a little something coming from me.

Maybe I'm wrong but wouldn't the extra mids and lows on the AT-1 compensate for the 10% drop in output?

The Edwards guitars are definitely better than any LTD I've tried. Too bad you can only get them on ebay or something. I would love to try their Jimmy Page LP.

I would go with the Chopper T my friend. What's the point in buying a Tele only to get it to sound like a Les Paul?
