Cheers for the update. The other pickup the store has is a Fred. Not too sure about that one, cause I have yet to hear clips of those in the neck position...

I love mine in the neck position, even in the coil split mode. Just wished it was a tad hotter sounding...

I played another tone zone in an alder bodied the other day, it certainly is a muddy pickup when pushed..... Sadly....

Not really, something else might not be right then. For example, pickup heights...

There's a vid of in that thread of someone with a Hamer Diablo II USA that has a Tone Zone/HS2/Air Norton combo...

I think part of the reason why Dmarzio got rid of many of their pickup lines is because customers were getting confused between several choices that seem to fit the bill for them. Maybe it might have been a lot more costly to produce that many types of pickups???   ::)

Anyway, I think I'm interested in one now for my PGM30. Is it a four conductor wiring single coil btw? Also, it seems any Dimarzio dealer should be able to custom order one for you, the local dealer I went to said they can get one for me if I ordered one...
