Today, I decided to do place a FS1 into the bridge position of a custom ting oiled guitar.  As I was adjusting the pickup the screwdriver fell out of my hand and dented my guitar top.  I wasn’t a pleasant moment.  After doing some research I found out that a wet rag and and iron would steam the dent out.  I tried it and it worked!  I lightly sanded the area and re-tung oiled the guitar.  The guitar looks brand new.  All the repairs and refining took 45 minutes.  Tung oiled finishes are the best, IMHO.  So easy to repair.

I’ve also used steam on old gun stocks so if the damp rag doesn’t do the trick try steam. Glad you found out that old school wood workers repair. It works.
