Identify this Pickup! Help!

(1/1)

Sambot:
I pulled a DiMarzio pickup out of the bridge position of an ‘07 Epiphone Les Paul Custom. I got the guitar used, so I don’t know its origin. Anyway, it sounds great… maybe a bit low output… but anyway, I can’t figure out what it is. Aside from “DIMARZIO PICKUPS” and “MADE IN U.S.A.”, there are no distinguishing markings on it. Help! See pics. Output clocks in at 7.49… which seems really low… more like a neck pickup.

BluesJam:
It could be an EJ bridge pickup.  The base plate is a brass color.

Sambot:
Close! I did some Googling around and it looks like the EJ baseplate is different. Mine doesn't have holes for the second row of pole pieces. It actually looks just like these…

…but this listing doesn't have any info either.

BluesJam:
You may need to ask DiMarzio tech.  It may be vintage DiMarzio PAF.  Obviously it’s a vintage wind.  Maybe a vintage PAF 103 or the like.  Regardless, anything vintage DiMarzio is a keeper in my book.

DavidSchwab:
It’s probably an old DiMarzio PAF.

The current 36th Anniversary model is 7.31k.

They are nice sounding pickups.
