Old square feet . Braided shield , 2 lead , wHite hot , black also ground ... both sides work , testing either black or white as hot ... neither will work if I just use braided shield as ground .. Reads 8.65

Sounds like an old PAF.

Dimarzio's vintage lineup was pretty simple. Definitely not an old Super Distortion or X2N. Don't know if DiMarzio actually made anything else that looked like a PAF back then.

screws & slugs or hex screws?
because I just recently got double cream square tab with hex screws, I thought it was an old SD, the seller only advertised it as "vintage DiMarzio".
but then later I found it was a Super 2 instead of SD, DC resistance read 8k something.
