The D Activators seem like a very versatile set...from classic rock all the way up to metal.  The cleans sounded great too!

I've been using the D Activator's for several months and they are a versatile set. Turning the volume down, they have a nice blend with the amps tone and you turn the guitars' volume up it pushes harder, but still stays retains it's character. Harmonics are smooth and string separation ('specially on the bridge) is fantastic. Also, things stay sounding woody; you realize that you are still playing an electric guitar. These things are definitley made for Rock and Heavy Metal. Definitely makes you play with your volume knob; you get versatile tones from very clean to mild grit to heavy and gritty punch.
