What I've been Cooking on lately
« on: April 27, 2010, 07:40:43 am »
Hey guys, I know I sorta ducked out a bit over the last month or so but I've come back stronger than ever.  I wrote two songs and recorded them for my mother's 60th birthday and I've been gigging out with my band Pyroclast and I can honestly say and forgive the curtness of my language: f*ck Arthritis.  f*ck Arthritis right in its vagina.

I'm living proof of that much :madness:

are the two songs I put together.  Vocals and all guitars are done by me with bass done by my good buddy Jon Wohl and drumming/percussion and production/engineering done by my equally good buddy Johnny Rock.. Both of whom are in my band.

And here's a cover of Whipping Post for good measure!

Good to be back boys and girls!

wow.  nice.  love the rhythm guitar tone at the beginning  and the 'woody', tight, warm sounding drums - nice kit and recorded very well.   in terms of mixing i'd eq the chorused clean guitar a bit thinner and separate it more, as it's fighting a bit for bandwidth with the other guitars.

forgive the curtness of my language: f*ck Arthritis.  f*ck Arthritis right in its vagina.  that's not so much curtness as vulgarity but you get the meaning across very well. :)

welcome back, you've sure been cooking up some tasty stuff while away.
"What'll it be?"
"I'll have a PAF Pro please....ahh geez, make it a double."

Take Glucosomine Chondroitine,
And eff Arthritis up the bung without lube! :madness:
The Norton won't tame anything.  A fantastic pickup, it will make your LP sound like a wild mongoose who is piloting a F-22 raptor and smoking crystal meth
